Wisha Kungsanant’s fervor for jewelry design and working with her hands led to the creation of her very own line.

“It's always been my passion to create something cool & beautiful,” she explained. “I started watching tutorials, reading jewelry-making books, went to a workshop, and then bam!

The next thing I know I have a jeweler's bench and tools.”

Velvet & So, showcases spindly sterling silver silhouettes and the organic elegance of fresh water pearls. Designed and produced in NYC, the pieces are made to last using exclusively precious metals.

To come up with her designs, Kungsanant draws inspiration from many mediums like music and film photography. 

“I usually will come up with designs in my head, I don't draw so when I have the vision I just go ahead and make them. Sometimes it works, sometimes not,” she said. 

In order to create as little waste as possible, the pieces are also packaged in reusable pouches and recyclable mailers. 

Kungsanant is currently working on a second collection for the brand, which will juxtapose the minimalist motif of the first. Focusing on the sand casting, she plans to make more whimsical pieces that utilize layers.
