Having worked in marketing, sales, and PR for a decade, Jessica Kelly was passionate about helping fashion and lifestyle brands thrive — especially if they are helping out the planet. But after she took a trip to India to research garment factories and understand the fashion industry’s supply chain better, she felt compelled to create her own ethical company, which lead to the development of THR3EFOLD.

“I encountered such incredible, ethical factories but their websites weren’t good and would never be found online,” she explained. “It was just so obvious it needed to be easier for brands to find the good factories they could trust with their supply chain, and a tech platform was the most obvious vehicle to drive that forward and scale.”

THR3EFOLD enables startup fashion brands who want to operate sustainably. They aim to simplify companies’ supply chains by connecting them to trusted factories via an intuitive, user-friendly SaaS platform that is lunching soon. All brands need to do is apply online to get matched with factories. From there, they can get quotes and start producing their products mindfully.

Kelly’s many production partners not only meet the minimum requirement for ethical certification—they go far beyond to help empower their employees, their community and the environment. One of the factories, located in India, creates solar energy and collects rain water to reduce waste and water usage. Another trains and employs disadvantaged women in rural areas to give them agency as well as an income.

THR3EFOLD also hosts Deadstock District, a community of members in the fashion industry who want to be more ethical and sustainable. The free membership includes the ability to buy and sell deadstock material and chat with other mindful individuals.

Kelly is preparing to launch her tech platform soon to connect clients and factories. She is also introducing a series of online courses to help fashion brand owners grow their businesses.

“I cannot wait to start getting feedback and working to build it out to a place of incredible resources for the fashion industry,” she said.
