If I Fell

If I Fell

Ashli Parker Fell knows the harmful practices of fast fashion companies firsthand — because she used to work for one.

“We were developing so much to get the lowest cost and feed the consumption that there were so many samples going out and coming in every day.  I felt immersed in a wasteful world that was now my reality,” she explained. “I wanted to rediscover the passion that gravitated me to be a part of the process, the business I loved so much.  It was time to make a change and just the thought was exciting!”

Having experienced how wasteful and unkind the industry can be when producing its wares, Fell decided to adopt the polar opposite principles for her own line. She combined her sustainable sensibilities with her seasoned design intuition, and If I Fell was born.

The brand boasts elegant handbags that are made to order. They feature a signature design that is both elegant and functional, eliminating the need to switch out styles for different occasions.

“The shape was developed from an idea of an everyday, grab and go, carry-all tote.  A must-have, ‘go-to’ piece, something that would serve as a companion that people would get daily use out of,” explained Fell.

The unique design allows the bags to always stay structural. They come in a variety of colors and you can customize their straps.

Equally as appealing is the mindful way they’re produced. Ethically-made leather is sourced from an Italian tannery and the bags are built in a small atelier in the New York area. Since they’re made to order so no material is wasted — and everyone involved in the production process is paid fairly.

Fell is eager to expand on the beautiful bags by introducing new materials and shapes to the line.

“Coming in and out of New York has inspired this on the go, everyday style that will carry on our signature use of color in smooth leathers and vegan alternatives,” she said.
